LI’L WOODY’S “MONTH OF GIVING”
All Locations Will Feature Special Burgers During the December Fundraiser

Each week this December, Li’l Woody’s fans will be able to enjoy a unique burger that will help
raise awareness and funds for non-profit groups focused on homelessness. For the Month of Giving, Li’l Woody’s will collaborate to directly help 4 community organizations based in each of Li’l Woody’s neighborhoods. (Capitol Hill, Ballard, South Lake Union, White Center).

MONTH OF GIVING LINE-UP:

Tuesday, December 4- Monday, December 10 – YouthCare • Interagency Garden Works

In partnership with Seattle Public Schools’ Interagency Academy, the Garden Works program helps young people in Columbia City learn about working with plants, growing food, urban farm management and teamwork. Students build both skills and confidence as they gain expertise about growing and cooking healthy food, as well as having a way to bring a positive partnership to the community through engaging with neighbors while selling their bounty at the weekly farm stand and donating excess to the Rainier Valley Food Bank.

Tuesday, December 11- Monday, December 17- Operation Sack Lunch (OSL)

OSL, a linchpin in Seattle’s emergency meal system, was started in 1989 with the delivery of 30 organic sack lunches to the streets of Seattle. They now serve more than one million, no-cost, hot meals annually; 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, 365 a year, to those struggling with hunger in our community.

Tuesday, December 18 – Monday, December 23- Mary’s Place • No Child Sleeps Outside program

Mary’s Place empowers homeless women, children, and families to reclaim their lives by providing shelter, nourishment, resources, healing and hope in a safe community. Their No Child Sleeps Outside program has set a goal to raise $2 million to open a new family shelter in downtown Seattle.

Wednesday, December 26 – Monday, December 31- St. Luke’s Edible Hope Kitchen

For 30 years, St. Luke’s has been welcoming and serving anyone who needs a meal in their church basement. Each weekday morning, they serve coffee and over 100 breakfast meals each day Monday through Friday.
